About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain complex software components that align with business and technical requirements. You will take ownership of feature implementation, troubleshoot technical challenges, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions. Your role will involve contributing to technical discussions, refining best practices, and supporting junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing. Your expertise in programming and software engineering will be essential for achieving project goals and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.

What will you be doing?

  • Contribute to system architecture discussions and develop software components aligned with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Creating high-quality, maintainable code in accordance with company best practices and standards.
  • Participate in software testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based APIs, microservices, and integrations as part of a collaborative engineering team.
  • Support junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and sharing technical insights.
  • Collaborate with the team to refine task prioritization and align work with project goals.
  • Tackling complex problems requiring deep analysis and evaluation of diverse factors.
  • Collaborating closely with other teams and departments, such as product teams to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to clarify requirements and share progress updates.
  • Participate in technical discussions, advocate for improvements, and help resolve disagreements constructively.
  • Providing timely, concise, and actionable feedback to team colleagues.
  • Share knowledge through documentation, workshops, or informal team sessions.
  • Assist in technical interviews to evaluate candidates for your team.
  • Maintaining openness to communication with both local and external partners.
  • Proactively learn new tools and practices (e.g., DevOps, cloud services) to expand technical expertise.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in designing and developing advanced software systems.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Continuous focus on enhancing skills in software architecture design, and product development.
  • Strong orientation toward task automation to save time and effort.
  • Implementation of improvements and optimizations in daily operations.
  • Planning and managing complex multi-system deployments without impacting client operations.
  • Ability to balance the demands of delivering high-quality software within tight deadlines.
  • Programming across multiple languages (C#, JavaScript, Java in plus).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Expertise in cloud infrastructure automation.
  • Knowledge and experience in use of design patterns
  • Proficient in English at a communicative level.

At AUCTANE we work in a hybrid model. This means that it’s up to you to choose whether you prefer office work, remote work or their combinations. Visits to the office will be necessary from time to time – you will set their frequency with your team. In the office, you have access to a workplace in a comfortable open space, fresh snacks and the best coffee in the city in our cafe and kitchen. You can use the relaxation rooms and our newly opened bookcrossing library. Working remotely, you use company equipment.

We do not like complicated recruitment processes, so we have developed a few simple steps that will allow us to get to know each other better.
