About the role
The IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The role involves responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, and determining and implementing solutions.
What will you be doing?
- Monitor and respond quickly to the help desk ticket queue
- Onboarding and offboarding of users
- Install, test and configure new workstations, equipment, and software
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all equipment and licence assignments
- Troubleshooting any network related issues
- Work in a team and effectively interact with others
- Escalate issues to senior staff as necessary
- Contributing to the design, build and operational management of an internal IT service
- Ensuring that the Auctane services are secure and can support the growth and needs of the organization
- Designing and building solutions with the highest levels of security. Respond swiftly to new and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities
- Creating tools and automated workflow capabilities to enable build automation and standards
- Constantly improving the platform by introducing new technologies where appropriate, driving efficiency and reducing technical debt
- Drive customer satisfaction and deliver outstanding end user support
- Assisting with some ad hoc tasks out of business hours
What are we looking for?
- At least 3-4 Years of experience in IT Support field.
- Experience using a helpdesk system. (E.g. Zendesk, Jira)
- Good working knowledge of Mac and PC environments.
- Experience with single sign-on and MDM solutions
- Good basic networking knowledge
- Analytical by nature and enjoys troubleshooting and solving complex problems.
- Ability to quickly adapt and learn with minimal oversight.
- Excellent internal customer service, communication, and coordination.
- Previous experience in similar roles or have proven strong technical skills.
- Constantly striving for automation and efficiency
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working with multiple teams and balancing their needs
- Excellent English communication skills – verbal and written
- Be able to lift 50+ lbs.
What will make you stand out?
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Networking knowledge and skills in Cisco Meraki
- Experience with Cloud technologies such as Okta, Google Workspace, Office 365, etc
- Willing to attend conferences, webinars and meet-ups and share the learning.

At AUCTANE we work in a hybrid model. This means that it’s up to you to choose whether you prefer office work, remote work or their combinations. Visits to the office will be necessary from time to time – you will set their frequency with your team. In the office, you have access to a workplace in a comfortable open space, fresh snacks and the best coffee in the city in our cafe and kitchen. You can use the relaxation rooms and our newly opened bookcrossing library. Working remotely, you use company equipment.
