Volunteer Day in the Heroes team!

October 12, 2020 was a brisk day. Eight daredevils from the Heroes team went to the forest. They had one goal in mind – to clean it! Oh, and there was a lot to clean up!

A part of the forest near the airport in Przylep was covered in rubbish heavily. But for the Heroes it was no obstacle.

We met the forest ranger at a previously agreed place. We received 100-liter garbage bags (quite a lot, as many as 20) and tips on which fragments of the forest to clean and where to leave the bags after we’re done.

We wondered if such a large number of bags would be useful…

As it turned out, it was! We filled 19 of them with all kinds of rubbish, mostly with glass bottles. It was scary to see what people throw into our beautiful forests.

We are glad that we could help and make some part of our forests clean again. We sincerely hope it will remain this way for a long time.

In addition, we spent some time together, and in this situation, when we only see each other through webcams, it has its advantages and gave us energy for next days, weeks of work. It’s fun to see, talk and do the right thing at the same time.

Probably some people are wondering what happened to our tasks? What about the customers? How could the entire team take advantage of the volunteer day on the same day? Who was working at that time?

Well, we had everything well prepared. We received the consent of our boss and arranged for a replacement/ help from another courier team. It was the Vikings team – you also contributed to help in cleaning the forest. Thank you very much for helping.
