Volunteer Day at Metapack

Metapackers love to help. They are easily involved in every action and willingly devote their time to others. That is why we created Volunteer Day – a day they can spend engaging in any charity event they choose. Prize? Besides pure satisfaction – a day off from work.

Little deeds, big difference

We want to change the world for the better and we know that it doesn’t take much to achieve it. We also know that actions matter most. That’s why we encourage Metapackers to dedicate their time to doing good deeds. This is how Volunteer Day was born – a day off of the year that any Metapacker can choose to help others.

We hope that we will encourage not only our Metapack employees, but also others who want to do something for the environment, but don’t know how. Because, as our stories show, helping is simple and doesn’t require a lot of effort, planning or a lot of logistics. See what actions we have engaged in so far.

Cleaning the beach of the Baltic Sea

Aneta and Magda went to the Baltic Sea to clean the beach. They took their kids with them, allowing them to take part in the cleaning and notice the problem of the rubbish around us. The young ones had a great time, and the whole team made the surroundings more pleasant for all sunbathers.

Litter on the beach is dangerous to nature for several reasons. First of all, along with the ebb and flow of the tide, they get into the sea, where they destroy the entire ecosystem and pose a threat to many aquatic animals. They are also ingested by coastal birds, which take them for food. Great job, girls! We hope that as a reward you had a pleasant time by the sea and inhaled a lot of precious iodine.

A walk with the dogs from the shelter and cleaning the forest

Our Requirements Analysts team consisting of: Ewa, Iza, Marta, two Magda, Kamil, Przemek, Tomek and Remik decided to support the shelter in Zielona Góra. A large group of them went to the place to take a walk with the dogs who love to wander in the nearby forest. The lovable puppies provided them with lots of attractions and helped them recharge their batteries. Going out was an opportunity for another good deed – cleaning up the walking path. Now walking in the Zielona Góra forest is much more pleasant.

If you have a moment to go for a walk with pets from the local shelter, we strongly encourage you to do so – you will spend a nice time outdoors. Or maybe you would like to adopt a faithful friend and a joyful family member? The animals in the shelter are waiting for a warm home.

And you? Already have your idea for Volunteer Day? Remember to make your own photo report!
