Thanksgiving Lunch 2019
As Metapack has three locations in the world, we celebrate three times as many holidays in our Zielona Góra headquarters each year. For example Thanksgiving, which was not only an occasion for being thankful, but it also was a nice distraction from the approaching peak weekend.
Thanksgiving lunch took place on November 28, the last Thursday of the month, which is exactly when Americans sit down to the Thanksgiving feast. We met at our refurbished Coffee Spot to eat together in a family atmosphere.
Where did the idea for such integration come from? It was best summed up by Darek, our Director, Carrier Platform Product Ownership:
There are many reasons, but one is the most important. Due to the fact that this holiday is treated by Americans as the most family holiday outside of Christmas, I think that we, as one big American-English-Polish family, should cultivate it at least symbolically. I think it will be very pleasantly perceived by our colleagues in the States.
