Getting ready for peak season at Metapack
The last quarter of the year is a hot season in the e-commerce industry. For us, this means increased work and weeks of preparations. In early October, our engineering teams met with the Metapack crew for the pitch.
The workshop was held in Berlin and was divided into two parts
In the first stage, the participants lively discussed the issues that will be crucial for improving our work in the hot period. Alerts and monitoring of our systems, as well as the way of reacting to them, have been put under the microscope. New technologies and communication needs of our teams and company location were also discussed.
But it wouldn’t be Metapack if we hadn’t prepared interesting entertainment for our hard-working engineers. In the second part of the workshop, the less formal one, the participants divided into teams and carried out subsequent tasks in central Berlin, scoring points on this occasion. The tasks required thinking, good orientation in the field and taking photos and videos, necessarily funny and full of humor. What’s all this for? To strengthen bonds, solve problems together and have fun.
Personally, I consider the trip very successful, and it also seems to me that over the last year, as a team, we have made great progress in understanding each other and how we function. This trip is a kind of crowning achievement.
