Children’s Day competition at Metapack

On Children’s Day, we organized an art competition for the children of our employees, or as we call them – our little Metapackers. We knew from the very beginning that the competition entries would surprise and delight us. After all, our employees’ ambitions and creativity are endless. See how these skills revealed themselves in little Metapackers’ works.
Rules of the art competition
Only children of Metapack employees could participate in the competition. Each of the entries competed in one of three age categories:
- 0 – 3.5 years,
- 4 – 7 years,
- 8-10 years.
The theme of the competition was ways of spending free time with parents. As for the format, we only suggested that the works should be “artistic”. However, we did not impose the technique of their execution. See what we got and why choosing the winners was so difficult.
Age category: 0 – 3.5 years
Entries of the youngest ones were mostly watercolor paints, although a few talented kids opted for the 3D effect. What do they do with their parents after their working hours? They do sports activities, visit zoos, take walks, admire nature, but not only. Several works allow for many possible interpretations, so we decided not to impose our own vision.

Crayons, pencils and markers dominated among the older children, age between 4 and 7 years. Their favorite activities are football, playing in the playground, stacking blocks, cooking together and – of course – walks among nature. Interestingly, the competition revealed not only artistic but also literary talents. Among the works there was a comic book with a fairy tale about a turtle who dreamed of an adventure.

Little Metapackers that already go to school, approached the task quite differently. In their works they used their own photos, but also other elements, e.g. tissue paper, scrubbles and even gauze. How do they spend time with their parents? Outdoors, learning and playing games together! It is ambitious and we like it.

Children’s Day competition – results
Which job did you like the most? We had a big problem with selecting the best ones – fortunately, voting came to our aid. Here are the winners of their categories:
- Miłosz – 3.5 years
- Tomek – 5 years
- Iga – 9 years old
We would like to thank all Metapack children for taking part in the competition, and voters for helping to select the winning entries. Soon all authors will receive gifts, which – we hope – will reward the effort put into preparing the competition drawings and encourage them to develop their artistic passion. Little artists will receive Faber Castell drawing sets: erasable colored pencils and felt-tip pens, a pencil with an eraser-sharpener. A special prize awaits the winners.
Congratulations go to everyone – every work gave us great pleasure. We hope that every little Metapacker enjoyed this contest as much as we did!
