AUCTANE – the new face of Metapack. What does it mean?

We boldly enter a new stage of development – from now on we operate under the AUCTANE brand. Metapack remains on the market as the name of our platform. You will see AUCTANE on our website and on social media. The name change is followed by internal changes and the implementation of a new operating philosophy. What does it mean? We have prepared a short Q&A to answer the most important questions and show you that in this new version we will meet even more of your expectations in terms of professional development.

Stamps, Auctane, Metapack group. Who is the owner of the company at the moment?

If you follow us closely, you know that in 2018 we joined the group of American companies led by Stamps. This has opened up great opportunities for us when it comes to access to the technologies we use. The philosophy of the Stamps group was that each company should follow its own individual development plan and focus on its own internal goals. This approach ensured our independence, but at the same time, it was not conducive to undertaking joint initiatives in a group in which all companies are related to the same industry. In addition, for several years we have seen a very large increase in the demand of the e-commerce market and the entire industry for solutions that allow for effective management of the flow of goods. Opening up to the experience and knowledge of other companies in the group turned out to be a necessity. Along with the change of the group’s owner, a new operating philosophy was introduced – a large, efficient organization operating globally under the AUCTANE brand, offering existing products specialized in servicing individual markets.

What is the philosophy of the AUCTANE group?

The change of the group’s owner resulted in a new idea of ​​how to act and how to use this huge potential that lies dormant in all teams. Now we focus more on synergy. Together, we reach for experience and knowledge, so far acquired individually, for the needs of each brand. We are no longer divided into companies, now we form a whole and operate as one large organization.

What will change in the functioning of the company and what will remain as it used to be?

We will keep individual products that currently serve individual markets. We are doing the same, but now we are working for the whole group. We will continue to develop our Metapack platform, but we are also preparing to work on elements that will be used by our colleagues in Europe and the United States.

The volume of our clients will also change. Until now, we have specialized in serving large players, and enterprise-class clients. As AUCTANE, we will also operate in the segment of medium, small, and even very small customers. At the end of 2020, we welcomed our millionth customer – thanks to the change to AUCTANE, the customer with the number 2,000,000 will certainly reach us much faster.

Will the Metapack name completely disappear?

It will not disappear, but it will change its meaning. From now on, our platform, developed here in Zielona Góra, will be called Metapack. The company will operate under the name AUCTANE and this is the logo you will see when visiting our headquarters.

Will the Metapackers, or rather AUCTANErs, benefit from this change?

Definitely! The knowledge of our specialists has always been appreciated in the group, but now it will be possible to use it even more. At the same time, we will gain access to the knowledge of our colleagues operating in other markets and with other products. We will be able to more efficiently respond to the needs of our clients, the e-commerce industry, and its customers, strengthening our leading position in solutions offering effective delivery management. For the team from Zielona Góra, it is an opening to new technological opportunities, an opportunity to learn about new market segments, greater prestige, and even greater satisfaction with the tasks performed!

Since when will Metapack be changed to AUCTANE?

The change of the group’s owner took place in the fall of 2021. Since then, we have implemented administrative changes related to the company name, the names of our domains, and e-mail boxes. From June 1, 2022, we officially change the company name in Poland to AUCTANE, and the name Metapack will only be closely related to our platform.

Can I apply to AUCTANE now?

Of course! At the moment, we are still transforming and we are not announcing any new recruitments. However, if you are a specialist in the IT industry, you program in JavaScript, C#, PHP, and/or you work with SQL scripts, you are fascinated by cloud solutions and you know English at least at the communicative level, send us your CV.
