AUCTANE at Boiling Frogs 2025 as a Gold Sponsor

March 15th is a perfect day to talk code, so we headed to Wrocław for Boiling Frogs. We’d attended the conference before, but this time was different — this time, we were proud to show up as a Gold Sponsor. But what exactly did that mean for us?

AUCTANE’s Secret Mission

On that Saturday, right in the middle of March, our team — over 30 strong — made its way to the Wrocław Congress Center. It was the 10th edition of Boiling Frogs, one of Poland’s biggest software craftsmanship conferences.

We’d been to previous editions as attendees, but this year we leveled up to Gold Sponsor. That meant our logo was just about everywhere, and our AUCTANE booth got more and more crowded as the day went on.

Did we mind? Of course not! We love meeting people, especially those who share our passions. It gave us a chance to swap experiences and fresh insights with fellow devs. And when it was time for a break, we invited everyone to try out our custom-built game console (more on that beauty at the end of the post *).

We were also on a secret mission. Our only giveaway? The massive QR codes on our backs. But the world needed to know: AUCTANE is growing fast — we’re opening a new office in Wrocław and we’re on the lookout for new talent to join our international team of over 1,500 people.

„Our main hub in Poland is located in Zielona Góra, where we currently have 210 team members. This year, we plan to expand both in Zielona Góra and Wrocław.”

Paweł Przybyła, Principal Advisor at AUCTANE

And yes, recruitment is already underway. If you missed the chance to scan our code at the event, no worries — just follow [this link] to see all open positions and apply directly through our forms.

What’s it like working at AUCTANE?

Our tech stack revolves around React, C#, and Java. We build software that integrates with shipping carriers and streamlines order delivery for online stores. Our solutions are trusted by big-name clients like Arsenal Football Club and eBay, but we also work with smaller businesses to help boost their competitiveness.

A Quick Word About Boiling Frogs

This conference is primarily aimed at developers and is all about programming languages and frameworks. Here, the focus is more on skills rather than specific tools and technologies. The event is meant to inspire a broader perspective on one's work and to encourage refining knowledge and skills that are, in a way, always relevant.

This year’s agenda was packed, ranging from the human mind to the less human — AI. And with it being the 10th edition, it was also a great chance to look back and reflect on the past.

Huge thanks to the organizers, Tomasz Kaczmarzyk and Marta Fudali — you nailed it! We’re so glad we got to support the conference and be part of something this meaningful as a Gold Sponsor.

Of course, all good things must come to an end. We did feel a bit of a Sunday sadness creeping in — Monday was just around the corner. But then we remembered:
“Hey! We work at AUCTANE!”
…and suddenly, everything felt a little bit better 🙂

*Back to our game…

It’s based on the Picade Console — a DIY kit for building and programming. Lucky for us, we know a thing or two about that kind of stuff, so when we have a moment… 🙂
The software runs on Linux Debian with RetroPie, allowing us to emulate original licensed games. The whole project was a tribute to 90s arcade machines and the classic titles most of us played as kids.

Special thanks to Łukasz for making it happen! ;)
